Colin D. Chang

Colin D. Chang is a Partner in Dentons' Capital Markets practice, specialising in Capital Markets Law. He focuses on high yield financings, representing underwriters, issuers and private equity sponsors in high yield offerings and bridge‑to‑high yield financings (including acquisition financings) in both the European and U.S. markets.

Colin has extensive experience in high yield debt restructurings, having acted as issuer's and borrower's counsel on some of the most complex debt restructurings in the European high yield market. He has been a finance lawyer for nearly three decades and a pure‑play high yield specialist for over two, with multiple stints in London, Paris and New York City. Prior to becoming a high yield specialist, his practice encompassed leveraged structured products, equity capital markets and debt capital markets. He is fluent in French and joined Dentons from Linklaters in London and Paris in January 2025, having previously been a partner at White & Case.

Colin holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and an LL.B. from McGill University and a B.A. from Yale University.
