Miriam Babarinde

Miriam Babarinde is an Associate in Dentons' Banking and Finance practice in London, specializing in Capital Markets Law. She advises underwriters and issuers—including corporates, sovereigns, banks, and other financial institutions—on a range of debt capital markets products, including public listed eurobonds, private placements, commercial paper, MTN programmes, high‑yield bonds, and liability management exercises such as tender offers, exchange offers, and consent solicitations.

Miriam has been involved in numerous significant transactions, including advising Oman Electricity Transmission Company on Oman's first US Dollar Green Sukuk; advising Achmea B.V. on its tender offer and linked new issue of perpetual subordinated securities; advising The National Bank of Ras Al‑Khaimah on its inaugural US$300 million Perpetual Tier 1 Capital Securities issuance; advising Šiaulių bankas on its Additional Tier 1 Notes issuance and its inaugural international bond issuance; advising mBank on its €3 billion EMTN Programme and €500 million Green Senior Preferred Notes issue; advising airBaltic on its landmark secured bond issue; and advising the Republic of Lithuania on its €1 billion bond issuance. She also previously worked as a paralegal at Cravath, Swaine & Moore.

She holds an LL.B from the University of Hull (2015), an LL.M in International Commercial Law from the University of Birmingham (2016), and completed her Legal Practice Course with an MSc in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law (2017). She qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2024.
