Pichrotanak Bunthan

Pichrotanak Bunthan is an Associate at Dentons, based in London, practising in the Capital Markets practice. His practice focuses on Capital Markets Law, advising issuers and underwriters across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and other emerging markets.

He has experience in a wide range of capital markets transactions, including Rule 144A and Regulation S debt offerings (such as stand-alone vanilla bond issuances, high-yield financings, medium-term note programmes and sukuk programmes), as well as equity offerings (including IPOs, accelerated bookbuilds and rights issues). Rotanak also advises on US private placements and liability management exercises.

His recent work includes advising a syndicate of banks led by HSBC on the Emirate of Sharjah's US$750 million Sukuk issuance, advising Oman Electricity Transmission Company on Oman's first US Dollar Green Sukuk, advising ForteBank on Kazakhstan's first international perpetual AT1 Eurobond issuance, and advising Air Astana Joint Stock Company on its initial public offering on the LSE, AIX and KASE – the largest IPO on the LSE in 2024.

Rotanak earned his LLM from Columbia Law School in 2021 as a Fulbright Scholar, where he was a staff editor at the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review and was awarded a postgraduate fellowship. Prior to joining Dentons, he worked for the US federal government in Washington, D.C., and for a regional law firm in its Cambodia office. His client portfolio includes Global 500 companies.
