Lionel Rosenblatt

Lionel Rosenblatt is a Consultant in Dentons' London office and the legacy head of the Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution department, with more than 38 years of experience in general commercial litigation, complex cross-border disputes, breach of trust and white-collar fraud claims.

He has been involved in significant claims arising from alleged price-fixing in the copper market, including class actions in the US, and has built and developed departments specialising in Banking Litigation and Professional Negligence. Notable matters include successfully defending the judicial review of the Gambling Commission's decision to award a licence to The Health Lottery; representing clients in substantial property disputes and litigation arising from agent departures in the literary and talent agency sector; and advising on international arbitrations, particularly in the energy sector. He is well practised in alternative dispute resolution and mediation, adopting a highly commercial and lateral-thinking approach.

Lionel holds an LL.B (Hons) from the London School of Economics (1971).

He is described in The Legal 500 as "a master of negotiation" and recognised by Chambers UK as "commercial, on the ball and hugely experienced". He is a Freeman of the City of London, a Vice President of the Variety Club, and serves on the Development Board of the English National Opera and The National Opera Studio.
