Emma Carter

Emma Carter is a Senior Associate in the Employment Practice at Dentons in Milton Keynes, specialising in employment law, TUPE, and contentious employment matters. She provides strategic, commercial advice to domestic and global corporate clients across the public and private sectors, with particular expertise in financial services, rail, education, and hospitality.

Emma advises on the employment aspects of business sales and acquisitions, including due diligence, drafting service and consultancy agreements for key directors, and settlement agreements for exiting employees. She has undertaken secondments to both Network Rail and Santander, and regularly advises on multi‑jurisdictional employment projects. She has also undertaken and advised upon complex grievance investigations, including in relation to the Senior Managers and Certification regime.

Emma holds an LL.B from University College London (2008), completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law (2009), and is admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (2013).

She is recognised by Chambers 2021 for her ability to assist clients with a wide range of employment matters. She is co‑chair of the CSR Committee for Dentons' Milton Keynes office and a member of the Employment Lawyers' Association Training Committee.
