David Ferris

David Ferris is a Managing Practice Development Lawyer in Dentons' Capital Markets practice in London. He focuses on a wide product range relating to securities issuance, supporting the practice with precedent development, internal and external training, providing technical legal advice, and monitoring developments in the international capital markets.

He brings a unique perspective to the practice development role, having worked as a senior in-house corporate and finance lawyer at Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC (2014–2020), as Vice President at Barclays Capital (2008–2014), and as an Associate and Trainee Lawyer at Linklaters (2004–2008), with secondments to UBS investment bank and the Tokyo office. His background includes emerging markets transactions and equity-linked deals, giving him a keen understanding of the needs and concerns of both issuer and underwriter clients.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology (2004).
