Venetia Jackson

Venetia Jackson is Counsel in the firm's Regulation & Investigations practice group, based in the London office, practicing in Compliance Law. She has extensive expertise in all aspects of retail financial services regulation, including insurance regulation, consumer finance, redress issues, and the Consumer Duty. She is a Recorder in the Family Court.

Ms. Jackson spent nine years at the FCA, where she drafted and advised on regulation, giving her a detailed and practical insight into how the regulator works and how to engage with it. She regularly assists clients on regulatory restructuring, authorizations, and supervisory engagement, and has been involved in significant regulatory change projects including the drafting of the Consumer Duty and the FCA's work on general insurance pricing practices. She also has extensive experience in the application of CCA requirements and the consumer finance perimeter.

She holds an MA in Jurisprudence from Oxford University (2000) and completed the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law (2001).
