Nicholas Kamlish

Nicholas Kamlish is an Associate in the Regulatory & Investigations team at Dentons, based in the London office, practicing in Compliance Law. He was formerly a forensic investigator and litigator at the FCA, responsible for conducting investigations with a focus on AML and pension scams, and completed a secondment to the FCA's General Counsel's Division advising on primary and secondary market issues.

Mr. Kamlish has deep expertise in financial crime prevention work, regularly advising multinational organisations on the Money Laundering Regulations, FCA Handbook, and JMLSG Guidance. He was seconded to a major UK bank, assisting with fraud investigations and an accountability review into financial crime governance failings. He advises on enforcement investigations, compliance and governance reviews, remediation schemes, and regulator engagement strategies for major financial institutions, and has a growing non-contentious practice specializing in advice, due diligence, and regulatory applications for the insurance, banking, and financial advice sectors.

Nicholas holds a BA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford (2014) and completed the Bar Professional Training Course at BPP Law School (2016). He is a pro bono supervisor at Dentons, providing legal support through the National Centre for Domestic Violence.
