Sarah Wylie

Sarah Wylie is a Counsel in the Corporate Funds Practice at Dentons in Edinburgh, specialising in corporate law, investment funds, and financial services regulation. She advises on private and listed funds across diverse asset classes, including fund formation, secondary fundraising, and commercial contracts for investment management and outsourced services.

Sarah has particular expertise in asset management operational and regulatory change, including the implementation of MiFID II, SMCR, AIFMD, and PRIIPs. She has advised on regulatory due diligence for regulated business acquisitions, strategic reviews of listed investment funds, and compliance policy overhauls, and has worked extensively with fund managers and asset managers to provide practical and strategic legal and regulatory guidance.

Sarah trained at Dentons (then Maclay Murray and Spens), qualifying in 2008, and has spent part of her career in-house at a leading Scottish investment manager and six years at Scottish corporate boutique Dickson Minto before rejoining Dentons in June 2022.

Sarah holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh (2005), a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh (2006), and a Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance from the International Compliance Association (2016). She was admitted as a Solicitor in Scotland in 2008.
