Brian Moore

Brian Moore is a Partner in the firm's Edinburgh office, specialising in corporate law with a focus on public and private M&A and equity capital markets transactions. He is dual qualified in Scotland and in England and Wales.

His public M&A experience includes advising on the £11 billion merger of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC with Standard Life plc, the £280 million public takeover of Robert Wiseman Dairies plc by Müller Dairy, and the £261 million takeover of British Polythene Industries plc by RPC Group plc. He also advised Sigma Capital Group plc on its £188 million takeover and FreeAgent Holdings plc on its £53 million acquisition by RBS. In the food and beverage sector, he has advised Highland Distillers, Edrington and First Milk on strategic transactions and joint ventures.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from the University of Edinburgh.

He is also a Reporter to the Court of Session in Scotland in respect of company schemes of arrangement, capital reductions and Part VII insurance, banking and ring-fencing transfer schemes.
