Joe Byron Evans

Joe Byron Evans is a Partner at Dentons and a member of the Banking and Finance practice in the firm's London office. His practice focuses on Banking and Finance Law.

Joe's practice focuses on investment and development real estate financings, general corporate lending and acquisition finance, and unsecured investment grade bilateral and syndicated lending. He acts for a mix of financial institutions (including sovereign institutions), sponsors and other corporate borrowers across a number of jurisdictions, including eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

His experience includes advising Frasers Group on the refinancing of its revolving credit facility, securing liquidity of £930 million for the group on day one, with the option for a new accordion lender to accede to the facility up to a total amount of £1.2 billion. He also advised Nordea Bank ABP on the €2 billion syndicated sustainability-linked revolving credit facility for Danish multinational energy company ØRSTED A/S, and advised a syndicate of lenders on a US$505,205,960 dual tranche term loan facility agreement for Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank.

Joe has been an advisor for pro bono legal advice clinics based in Poplar and Whitechapel, East London for more than 10 years, and has volunteered serving breakfasts at the Whitechapel Mission for over a decade. He holds an LPC and CPE/GDL from Bristol Law School, UWE Bristol, and a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Exeter.
