Hadrien Espiard

Hadrien Espiard is a commercial Associate in Bird & Bird’s energy and infrastructure teams in London, focusing on Infrastructure Law.

He has worked on a number of regulatory advisory projects helping clients navigate incoming EU and UK legislation, particularly with regard to EV charging regulations, the national electricity transmission system and ESG.

He is a member of Bird & Bird’s ESG working group and has spent time developing an ESG tracking tool to help map out the regulatory landscape for clients and help them assess compliance risks. He has a particular interest in the intersection between ESG and technology and has assisted in drafting the initial contracts to establish a carbon credit trading platform.

He has worked on a suite of energy and infrastructure contracts including O&M agreements, master services agreements and concession agreements.

He spoke at the Retrofit Society’s event touching on energy as a service and large-scale decarbonisation of the housing sector.
