Graham Richmond

Graham Richmond is a Partner in Dentons' Projects practice group in London, focusing on renewable energy project development, project finance, and procurement, with more than 14 years of experience across the EMEA region and globally.

He advises on renewable power projects including solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), wind, green hydrogen, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and waste‑to‑energy projects. He also advises on corporate PPAs (including virtual PPAs), EPC contracts, O&M agreements, and project development and financing structures. Notable matters include advising sponsors on the 1,500MW Al Ajban Solar PV IPP in Abu Dhabi and the 1,800MW sixth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai; advising the project sponsor consortium on the Acorn CCS project in the UK; advising UK government on the £26 billion Xlinks renewable generation project in Morocco; and advising on the project financing of a portfolio of 220MW BESS assets in the UK. He also has extensive experience in oil and gas, petrochemical and mining infrastructure projects, including the Sonaref oil refinery project in Angola (approx. US$10 billion) and the Ma'aden phosphate and aluminium complexes in Saudi Arabia.

Graham holds a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course from The College of Law (2008), and a B.A. (Honours) in History and Politics from the University of East Anglia (2005).
