David Pemberton

David Pemberton is a newly-qualified Associate in the Intellectual Property Group at Bird & Bird in London, working with clients on a broad range of intellectual property rights. His primary practice area is Intellectual Property Law.

He has experience working across both contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly in the life sciences and healthcare sector, due to his background as a pharmacist.

Before joining Bird & Bird, as a healthcare professional and operations manager, he gained experience of product life cycles, regulatory issues and negotiating B2B contracts.

In his legal career to date, he has had experience in regulatory and transactional work, including research collaborations, licensing and distribution agreements, as well as involvement in litigation across a range of IP rights and courts, from a first-instance case concerning a large molecule pharmaceutical patent to a UK Supreme Court case involving registered trademarks in sportswear.
