Alexander Beesley

Alexander Beesley is a corporate tax lawyer in Bird & Bird’s International Corporate Group in London, focusing on Tax Advisory Law. He advises on the tax aspects of UK and cross-border transactions, including M&A, financing, group reorganisations and corporate structurings.

He regularly advises clients on a broad range of tax issues that arise at different stages of the business life cycle, from early investment rounds and acquisitions to financing arrangements, reorganisations and expansion into new markets.

Much of his practice is cross-border in nature. He frequently works with tax advisers in other jurisdictions to help clients understand how non-UK tax issues may impact the wider transaction.

His practice has a particular focus on transactional taxes, business reorganisations, employment taxes and VAT. He also regularly advises on the IR35 regime, labour chain and umbrella company arrangements, and Pillar Two.
