Alastair MacLeod

Alastair MacLeod is Counsel in the firm's Tax Advisory Law team, based in the London office. The focus of his practice is in the financial services sector, providing tax advice to investment funds, investment managers, pension funds, banks, and other financial institutions on a wide range of matters, including M&A, fund formation, debt and equity investment, restructurings, employee incentives, tax-based investment products, and VAT and stamp taxes planning.

Mr. MacLeod works closely with colleagues in the firm's Financial Services, Corporate, and Real Estate divisions to provide tax advisory, drafting, and negotiation support on transactional work, including corporate M&A, joint ventures and investments, real estate development and investment, and infrastructure projects. He joined the firm on qualification in 2001, working in the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices before moving to London in 2005.

He is admitted as a solicitor in Scotland and is a member of the Law Society of Scotland.
