Alex Thomas

Alex Thomas is a Partner at Dentons, serving as Head of the UK & Middle East Tax practice and co‑leading the Global Tax Group, specializing in Tax Advisory Law. He advises on a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, and real estate tax issues, primarily for multinational corporations.

Alex has particular expertise in structuring inbound investments into the UK and Europe for sovereign wealth funds and investors from Asia and the Middle East. He is also highly regarded for his work in the tax risk insurance market, having advised on policies issued in respect of risks around the world. He has advised leading corporates and private equity houses, including Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, KPS Capital Partners, Heitman, GIC, Informa, Swiss Life, Total, Virgin, and Warner Music.

Alex holds a degree from the University of Durham (1992) and completed his legal training at The College of Law, York (1994). He qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales in 1996.
