Alex Macdonald

Alex Macdonald is an Associate in the Corporate practice at Dentons in London, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He advises public and private clients on domestic and cross‑border M&A, private equity transactions, venture capital investments, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.

Alex has worked with clients across the professional services, real estate and leisure, energy, insurance, technology, and life sciences sectors, regularly collaborating with colleagues across Dentons' global network in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, South America, and the US. Notable transactions include advising KPS Capital Partners on its approximately €1.7 billion acquisition of the INEOS Composites business, KKR on its recommended offer for Smart Metering Systems Plc, Informa on its acquisition of Tarsus, FE fundinfo on its acquisition of AlphaOmega, and Dye & Durham on its sale of Credas Technologies to SmartSearch.

He holds an LL.B in Law from Durham University (2016) and completed his Legal Practice Course with Distinction at BPP University (2020). He qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2022.
