Verity Kent

Verity Kent is a Senior Associate in the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate practice, based in the London office. She qualified in October 2014 after completing her training contract with the Firm.

She has worked on a number of private and public corporate transactions, including M&A deals, private equity, joint ventures, and admissions to AIM and the Main Market. She has advised clients in the oil and gas, mining, renewable energy, construction, and tech sectors. Notable transactions include advising on the AIM IPO of a humanitarian project management provider, a Canadian biotech company, and a Dubai-based leisure and retail group, as well as advising Petronas on its acquisition of a 15.5 percent interest in the Shah Deniz gas field and associated pipelines, and Rutland Partners on its investment in Aston Barclay, the UK's leading independent car auction group.

She has been seconded twice to the in-house legal department of Informa Group Plc, where she worked on M&A transactions and general corporate matters, as well as assisting with IP and other commercial aspects of the events and journals businesses.

Verity holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Bristol (2008), a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School (2009), and completed the LPC at The College of Law (2010).
