Stephen Temple

Stephen Temple is a Partner in the Banking and Finance department at Dentons, specializing in Banking and Finance Law with a particular focus on aircraft finance and leasing transactions. He acts for leading aircraft finance banks, lessors, airlines, and aircraft manufacturers on cross‑border transactions.

Stephen's experience includes export‑credit backed financings, finance and operating lease transactions, Islamic finance transactions, tax‑based transactions, and sale and purchase transactions. In 2007, he spent six months in Dentons' Abu Dhabi office, acting for financiers on financings for a national flag carrier and for a major local bank on a series of corporate jet finance leases. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a political risk analyst focusing on Latin America.

He holds a B.A. in Hispanic Studies (Hons) from the University of Bristol (1995), an M.A. in Latin American Politics, Economics and History from the Institute of Latin American Studies, University of London (1999), and completed his LPC with Distinction at BPP Law School (2003). He qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2008.
