James Francis

James Francis is a Partner in Dentons' London office, practicing in Banking and Finance Law. He specializes in asset and export finance, with experience working for many of the leading export finance banks and European export credit agencies on ECA-supported cross-border financings, including Bpifrance, CESCE, EKN, Euler Hermes, ICIEC, and UKEF.

He has particular capabilities in aircraft finance, with a wide range of experience in international aircraft transactions, including export credit financing, sale and leasebacks, and PDP financing, working for banks, lessors, airlines, and manufacturers. He spent six months on secondment to Airbus S.A.S. in its finance department in Toulouse and a further six months on secondment to HSBC Bank plc in its export credit financing team.

James holds a Master of Arts in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh (2009), completed the Legal Practice Course (2010) and Graduate Diploma in Law (2011) at the College of Law Moorgate. He has served as a school governor for a number of years at a local primary school and was Co-Chair of Governors.
