Rupert Ekblom

Rupert Ekblom is a Senior Associate in Dentons' International Trade group, specialising in International Trade Law. He advises multinationals across all sectors on international sanctions, export controls, customs, free trade agreements, WTO law, trade remedies and wider international trade issues.

Rupert provides technical, strategic and compliance-related advice across the full transactional and regulatory lifecycle, including pre-transactional due diligence, engagement with regulatory authorities, complex investigations, trade-related disputes and internal compliance frameworks. He has completed client secondments to two major UK financial institutions, advising on international sanctions compliance, anti‑bribery and corruption, anti‑money laundering, counter‑terrorist financing and fraud‑related issues.

Rupert holds a B.A. (Hons) in Modern and Medieval Languages from Cambridge University (2012), a Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law (2014) and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (2015).
