Juulia Kontio

Juulia Kontio is an Associate in Dentons' International Trade Law practice, based in the London office. She advises clients on all aspects of international trade law, regulatory investigations, and compliance, focusing on international financial and trade sanctions, export controls and national security, product regulation, customs, WTO law, tariffs, and other international trade issues.

She also assists clients with wider compliance and financial crime matters, including alleged regulatory breaches and market abuse. She has been recognized on the Attorney General's Pro Bono Recognition List for her commitment to providing at least 25 hours of legal pro bono work in 2023-2024, and volunteers with the PopLaw Legal Advice Clinic and the National Centre for Domestic Violence.

Juulia holds a BA in Jurisprudence from St Anne's College, Oxford University (2020) and completed the Legal Practice Course with Distinction at BPP Law School (2021).
