Rowena Rix

Rowena Rix is the Head of Innovation and AI for Dentons UK, Ireland and Middle East, driving innovation and AI initiatives across the region. Her remit covers the development of client-facing and internal solutions leveraging the latest technology, including robotic process automation and AI. She leads the firm's research and development, product and external technology partnerships, and academic initiatives, alongside the development and implementation of the Dentons AI governance framework incorporating ethics, education, cybersecurity and data protection.

By background, she is a solicitor and practised as a senior associate in regulatory litigation and data protection, advising organisations across the healthcare, education and finance sectors. Her experience includes substantial digital enablement projects for clients, law firm change programmes and associated governance policies and procedures. Her experience in legal technology spans more than 20 years, including advising emerging legal technology and AI companies on their go-to-market strategy and product adoption in the legal industry.

Rowena holds a B.Sc (Hons) from University College London (2005), a Graduate Diploma in Law (2006) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (2008) from Westminster University. She was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2012.

She has authored numerous articles on regulatory law, data protection and AI governance, and speaks internationally on innovation and AI. She is an ICAgile Certified Professional in Business Agility Foundations and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
