Purvis Ghani

Purvis Ghani is a Partner based in the London office and Global Chair of the Employment and Labor practice at Dentons, practicing in Employment Law. He advises on all areas of employment law, covering contentious, non-contentious, and transactional matters across a range of industries, including financial services, technology, media, and information sectors.

He regularly advises on day-to-day HR issues, senior level exits, disciplinary and investigative matters, restrictive covenants, bonus issues, collective redundancies, and large-scale corporate reorganizations. He has particular expertise in international employment and cross-border matters, business transfers and TUPE, discrimination, whistleblowing, employment status, outsourcing, and high-value tribunal litigation. He has considerable experience advising on global employment projects involving more than 50 countries and conducting sensitive and complex cross-border investigations.

Purvis holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Manchester (1999). He was involved in drafting sections of the Employment Statutory Code of Practice for the Equality Act 2010 and co-authored chapters in the fourth edition of "Employment Covenants and Confidential Information: Law, Practice and Technique." He has been recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500, and as one of Thomson Reuters' Stand Out Lawyers (2025).
