Nick Hayday

Nick Hayday is a Partner in Dentons' Capital Markets Law practice, based in the London office. He is Head of Banking and Financial Services Division UK and Global Co-Chair for the Banking & Finance Group. He focuses on a wide range of securities work, including advising underwriters and issuers on debt issues (listed eurobonds, private placements, MTN programmes, loan participation notes), liability management exercises (tender offers, exchange offers and consent solicitations), equity and equity-related securities, and Islamic Finance in international markets. He has particular experience in emerging markets, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS and Africa, where he is forging a reputation for executing difficult deals to demanding timetables.

Mr. Hayday has advised on numerous significant transactions, including the Republic of Lithuania on its €1.5 billion bond issuance, CPI Property Group on its €700 million sustainability-linked bond and debt refinancing, CEZ on multiple sustainability-linked bond issuances, airBaltic on its landmark secured bond issue, and Silk Road Group Holding on its US$400 million Rule 144A/Reg S high yield notes issuance. He also advised Ryanair on its €1.2 billion bond issue, RELX on multiple note issuances totaling over €2 billion, and Housing Development Finance Corporation on a US$2.39 billion offering.

He holds a B.A. in History from the University of Bristol (1999) and completed the LPC at Oxford Institute of Legal Practice (2001). He has been ranked as a Leading individual for Capital Markets: Debt by Chambers UK, for Debt Capital Markets by The Legal 500, and as a Leading lawyer in IFLR1000.
