Nichola West

Nichola West is a Partner at Dentons in London, practicing in the Real Estate team, specializing in Real Estate Law. With over 30 years' experience, her practice covers all aspects of commercial real estate work, with a particular focus on significant investment transactions for overseas investors, especially from the Middle East.

Nichola has represented leading corporates and families, working closely with Dentons' international tax team on acquisitions for their own account, in joint ventures, or as fund participants. Notable matters include advising a private overseas investor on the acquisition of Lacon House from Blackstone for in excess of £285 million and One George Yard for £22 million; advising a Middle East family on multiple London acquisitions including Riverside House for over £144 million and 100 New Bridge Street (the UK headquarters of Baker & McKenzie); and acting for Aviva and its co‑investors on the award‑winning Paddington Central scheme over 14 years, culminating in the sale of three specialist real estate funds to British Land for £470 million. She also acted for Al Jazeera as one of the first office tenants in The Shard, and continues to advise corporate occupiers and trust companies on their commercial and residential portfolios.

She holds an LL.B from the University of Exeter and completed her LPC at The College of Law, London. She is a Solicitor of England and Wales.
