Nazli Cansin Karga

Nazli Cansin Karga is a Senior Associate in the Competition and Antitrust practice group, specialising in Competition Law. She advises clients on UK and EU competition law issues, including commercial agreements, abuse of dominance, competition litigation and compliance. She also holds a PhD, with her thesis focusing on standard essential patents.

Nazli has been actively engaged in competition law matters in the digital economy since 2017, with particular interests in data-related issues, the relationship between competition and innovation, regulation of digital markets, social media advertising, data analytics, and algorithms. Prior to rejoining private practice, she served as a full-time competition law lecturer at the University of Glasgow School of Law in 2019/20, teaching EU and UK competition law at both undergraduate and master's level. She also has an intellectual property background, having worked as a patent litigator representing life sciences companies and advising on contentious trademark matters.

Nazli holds a PhD from the University of Glasgow, an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University of London, and an LL.B. from Yeditepe University. She is an active member of the International Bar Association, currently serving as Young Members Officer of the IBA Technology Law Committee.
