Naji Tilley

Naji Tilley is an Associate in the Intellectual Property department at Bird & Bird, based in London, with a focus on contentious matters. His primary practice area is Intellectual Property Law.

He has assisted in advising clients across a range of intellectual property rights, including high-value copyright and trade mark litigation, brand protection and regulatory advice. Having trained and qualified at Bird & Bird, he has had exposure to work across multiple sectors, including media, entertainment and sport, technology and communications, retail and consumer, and life sciences and healthcare.

As part of his training contract, he spent three months on secondment to The Football Association, assisting with intellectual property licensing and other commercial agreements, as well as contentious and regulatory work. Prior to joining Bird & Bird, he was an Assistant Editor in the Dispute Resolution team at Practical Law UK for three years, producing legal know-how and current awareness on English civil litigation.

He contributes to the firm's client-facing publications, including MediaWrites, BrandWrites and DesignWrites, and reports on trade mark cases for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) Journal. He also has a particular passion for social mobility in the legal profession and volunteers his time on videos, podcasts and graduate and student events on the topic.
