Alex Savin

Alex Savin is a Part-Qualified Patent Attorney in Dentons' London office and a member of the Technology, Media and Telecoms practice, focusing on drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications across a broad range of technologies.

He works extensively on computer-implemented inventions in fields including image processing, quantum systems, encryption, and space technology. The majority of his work is before the European Patent Office (EPO), with a significant portion also before the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO). He has particular expertise in photonics, high-power laser systems, fusion reactors, semiconductor technology, and the implementation of novel computer algorithms in innovative applications.

Alex holds a Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) and a Master of Physics from the University of Oxford, where his research centered on high-power laser experiments for plasma physics applications and the development of diagnostic equipment. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and the European Patent Institute (EPI).
