Mila Navitskaya

Mila Navitskaya is a Senior Associate and a member of the Russia Desk based in London. She is a Belarussian qualified lawyer who is admitted to practice Russian law, and also qualified as an English solicitor by completing a training contract with Bird & Bird in April 2016. Her primary practice area is Corporate Law.

Having qualified in 1996, whilst in Belarus, she was the head of the legal department of a large media company and successfully started and ran her own legal practice. Her experience as an in-house lawyer and as the head of her own practice taught her to always see a particular legal issue from a broader perspective.

Throughout her career, she has gained experience in commercial and corporate law, commercial litigation, IT/IP, employment law, privacy and data protection, and regulatory transactional work. She has extensive experience advising on cross-border matters and managing multi-jurisdictional projects for the firm's clients.

Her Russian language skills and background knowledge of legal work in the CIS countries, based on more than ten years of legal experience in the region, are a strong asset when parallel drafting and verbal communications in both English and Russian are required. She has contributed to a great number of international projects, providing assistance in coordinating projects and translating legal documents into and from English and Russian. For matters that require expertise and assistance on the ground, she provides a coordinated service by working with referral law firms in Russia and other CIS countries.
