Nicola Chilvers

Nicola Chilvers is a Senior Associate in Bird & Bird's Retail & Consumer Group (London), focusing on Corporate Law. She is the founding member of the firm's International Cosmetics, Beauty & Fragrance Group and a member of its International Luxury, Fashion and Retail Leadership Team.

She supports domestic and international businesses in achieving their growth strategies, both online and offline, with equal emphasis on business-to-business and business-to-consumer projects. Her focus sectors include fashion; cosmetics, beauty and fragrance; health, fitness and wellness; home and lifestyle; and luxury industries.

On the business-to-business side, she works with clients ranging from entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures to established multinational corporations, advising on global solutions. Much of her daily work involves drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including distribution and supply chain arrangements, and consulting on multi-channel growth strategies across bricks and mortar, e-commerce and m-commerce.

On the business-to-consumer side, she counsels consumer-facing brands on selling, marketing and interacting with consumers while staying abreast of evolving consumer protection legislation and local regulations. Bird & Bird was recently awarded 'Luxury Law Firm of the Year 2024' at the Luxury Law Summit Awards.
