Joseph Collingwood

Joseph Collingwood is a Partner in the Corporate department at Dentons in London. He advises on a range of private and public corporate transactions, with a particular focus on private M&A, private equity, and venture capital. His experience includes advising clients in the technology, sport, manufacturing, and corporate real estate sectors.

He has previously spent time working in the legal markets in San Francisco and Beijing. Clients have noted that he is "unwaveringly positive and calm – his knowledge and experience far exceeds his qualification levels" and "instrumental in supporting our negotiations and deal closures" (Legal 500).

He has advised on significant transactions including Naked Energy on its investment from Great British Energy and Barclays Climate Ventures; Hyve on its acquisitions of RAISE Summit, MACHINA Summit, Signal Week, and LegalTechTalk; SchoolHire on its sale to ParentPay Group; funds managed by KKR on its acquisition of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres; Connected Kerb on its acquisition of Trojan Energy's Flat & Flush on-street charging technology; Capita plc on the sale of Capita One Limited and its travel businesses; Premier Foods on the acquisition of FUEL10K and The Spice Tailor; KKR on its sale of a majority stake in A-Gas; and the sale of Newcastle United FC.

He holds a Graduate Diploma in Law (Distinction) from the College of Law Bristol (2011) and completed the Legal Practice Course (Distinction) at the College of Law, London (2012). He joined Dentons as a trainee in 2014, became a partner in 2024, and has spent his entire legal career at the firm.
