Jeremy Cohen

Jeremy Cohen is a Senior Consultant at Dentons, based in the London office, practicing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He was Dentons' Chief Executive Officer for the UK and Middle East (UKME) region until May 2021 and was also a member of the Firm's Global Board and its Global Management Committee. Previously, he was head of the division containing the Corporate and TMT practices and co-head of the London Corporate department from 2007-2011.

Mr. Cohen's practice incorporates a wide range of public and private M&A and ECM work, with particular specialist areas including public takeovers, IPOs, equity fundraisings, mergers and demergers, acquisitions, disposals, equity investments, and joint ventures. He has worked extensively in the TMT and energy sectors, with most of his practice being cross-border, and has led deals on every continent. He advised Tenaga Nasional Berhad on its first investment into Europe and into solar energy, and on the sale of UK commodities trader Metdist Trading Limited to China Construction Bank.

Jeremy has been ranked many times by Chambers in Band 1 of leading individuals in the UK for mid-market corporate work and is recognized as "an M&A star" who is "very straight-talking and highly knowledgeable," "pragmatic," and "very pleasant to deal with." He is a Trustee for City & Hackney Mind.
