James Irvine

James Irvine is a Partner in the firm's Banking and Finance Law practice, based in the London office. He is a multi-specialist corporate finance lawyer with emphasis on real estate finance (including hotels), restructuring, general banking, and asset-based lending, acting primarily for banks, other financial institutions, and borrowers on a range of mainstream transactions.

Mr. Irvine has both transactional and general advisory experience across the banking and finance sector. He has been recognized by The Legal 500 as "pragmatic and does whatever it takes to get the job done," and by Chambers as "extremely diligent" with "a great grasp of the detail but also aware of commerciality."

He holds an MA in English from Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge (1994), completed the CPE at the College of Law (1998), and the LPC at the College of Law (1999).
