Simon Tweedle

Simon Tweedle is a Partner at Dentons, practicing in the Banking and Finance group, specializing in Banking and Finance Law with a particular focus on real estate finance. He advises on investment and development finance, structured finance, refinancing, restructuring, mezzanine finance, preferred equity financings, loan sales and purchases, intercreditor issues, and "loan to own" scenarios.

Simon has focused exclusively on real estate finance for almost 20 years, acting for both funders and borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international real estate finance transactions across asset classes including office, retail, residential, logistics, hotels, care homes, student accommodation, and shopping centres. Recent clients include Castleforge, Chenavari, Cheyne Capital, Ellandi, Harrison Street Real Estate, HSBC, ICG‑Longbow, International Hotel Group, McArthurGlen, Raven Russia, and RBS. He has spent part of his career working in‑house in the real estate lending team at Capmark (formerly GMAC) and was seconded to the Global Banking and Markets Real Estate team at RBS.

He holds an LL.B from the University of Sheffield (1997) and qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2000.
