Robert Starr

Robert Starr is Of Counsel at Dentons in London, specializing in Banking and Finance Law. He concentrates on corporate and finance matters, including investment projects and financings in Europe (East and West), the CIS, and other emerging markets.

Robert advises on major projects across a range of sectors, including financial services, communications, real estate, energy and natural resources, heavy industry, agro‑industrial, and consumer products. He has advised clients on investment projects in emerging markets with values well in excess of $1 billion. He has published extensively and lectured in the US and Europe on business law issues.

He holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, a J.D. and a Master of Comparative Law from the University of Chicago, and a Doctor of Laws from the University of Aix‑Marseille. He is admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court, and is a member of the District of Columbia and Illinois bars.
