Humphrey has acted on numerous landmark energy transactions, including advising Romgaz on the acquisition of ExxonMobil's Black Sea interests, advising Wintershall Dea on the acquisition of Edison's Algerian gas project, and advising Petronas on the split share and asset sale of its interests in the Shah Deniz gas project to Lukoil. He also advised OMV on the sale of interests in Kazakh oil fields, LetterOne on its US$5.8 billion acquisition of RWE Dea, and Petronas on the US$2.25 billion acquisition of Statoil's interest in Shah Deniz. He has also advised Britishvolt on the acquisition, construction and development of its Giga-factories in the UK and internationally.

Humphrey holds a degree from the University of Durham and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.
