Karina Chopra

Karina Chopra is an Associate in the Projects practice group, specialising in Energy Law. She advises on a broad range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters in the energy sector, including oil and gas, LNG, renewable energy, battery storage and electric vehicles.

Karina has advised on major energy projects, including acting as Sponsors' counsel for EDF Renewables and KOWEPO on the development and financing of the 1,500MW Al Ajban Solar PV IPP (awarded Energy Transition Deal of the Year at the IJGlobal MENA Awards 2025), and for MASDAR on the 1,800MW Phase 6 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park IPP. She also advised on the acquisition of over 600MW of battery energy storage projects in the UK and on the sale of interests in oil and gas blocks in Nigeria and Oman.

Karina holds an LL.B. from the University of Warwick (2020). She completed her training contract at Dentons and qualified as a solicitor in 2025.
