Esther McDermott

Esther McDermott is a Partner and Co-Lead of Dentons UK, Ireland & Middle East's Projects practice, specialising in Dispute Resolution. She is also Co-Chair of the Dentons Global Task Force on Ukraine Transformation.

Esther specialises in construction, engineering and infrastructure disputes, with significant experience in complex multi-party litigation and international arbitration matters across sectors including oil and gas, renewables, roads, railway, aviation, residential and mixed-use developments, and PFI/PPP projects. She has worked internationally in Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, UAE, Qatar, Oman and Kenya. She is a Solicitor Advocate (All Higher Courts).

Esther holds an LL.B. (Hons) from The College of Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law and completed the LPC at The College of Law, Birmingham, as well as a B.A. in Modern Languages and European Studies from the University of Bath.

She is ranked by Chambers and Partners UK and recognised by The Legal 500 UK, where she is described as a "brilliant partner – a real winner who gives everything for her clients" and "incredibly talented and efficient." She is a founding member of the Law Society's LGBT+ Division Committee and a strong advocate for LGBT rights.
