David Payton

David Payton is a Partner in the London office, specialising in Dispute Resolution. He is a property litigator acting for landowners, landlords, investors, corporate tenants and retailers, handling litigation over option agreements, easements, property insolvency, and all kinds of landlord and tenant disputes.

David has acted for Blackstone Group in litigation seeking £75 million in damages following the Buncefield explosion, advised the Homes and Communities Agency on the strategic redevelopment of a major transport interchange, and represented Barclays Bank PLC on a broad spectrum of property disputes across its substantial portfolio. He also acted for Sainsbury's Supermarkets on estate management matters and for the developer in a £6 million rectification claim of an option agreement.

David holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Manchester (2004) and completed the LPC at Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University (2005).
