Emma Aitken

Emma Aitken is a Senior Associate in Dentons' Projects practice group based in Edinburgh, specializing in non-contentious construction law. She advises both private and public sector clients on a variety of construction matters, including drafting building, engineering and energy contracts, and ancillary documents such as O&M agreements, supply contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, framework agreements and call-off contracts.

She is also experienced in real estate and development finance transactions, advising clients on the procurement of construction and development works and the construction aspects of finance agreement documentation, agreements for lease, purchase agreements and development agreements. Notable matters include advising a major UK electricity and transmission company on procuring onshore and offshore power cable systems for high-voltage direct current transmission links; advising Telehouse on transitioning to new supplier frameworks for construction works at UK data centre sites; and advising a lender on the Scottish elements of an international development finance transaction for the renovation of the Schloss Roxburghe Hotel.
