Carissa Najafian

Carissa Najafian is an Associate in the International Corporate Group in London. Her primary practice area is Mergers and Acquisitions.

She advises on a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and reorganisations. She works with a diverse range of clients at different stages of the corporate life cycle and across a variety of sectors, particularly enjoying working with clients in the life sciences & healthcare, retail & consumer, and technology & communications industries.

She trained at a leading Scottish-headquartered law firm and was admitted as a solicitor and notary public in Scotland in August 2025, before joining Bird & Bird as an associate. During her traineeship, she gained experience in Banking & Finance, Restructuring, Property, Corporate and Litigation.

She studied at the University of Western Australia during her year abroad and completed an LLM in European and International Business Law at the University of Vienna, and enjoys working with clients across multiple jurisdictions.
