Alex Jameson

Alex Jameson is a Senior Associate in the Privacy and Data Protection Group in London, focusing on Data Protection Law. He works with a variety of organisations on their data and privacy matters, with a particular focus on AI.

His experience covers all aspects of information law, from the GDPR to ePrivacy and Freedom of Information. He advises on building data protection compliance programmes, grey spaces such as on-device processing and biometrics, and managing security incidents. He advises both AI users and AI developers, drawing on an understanding of both the technical complexities and the developing regulatory landscape.

He has particular experience working on HR data and employment-adjacent privacy matters, including recruitment, investigations, and novel questions posed by the Coronavirus pandemic. He works with companies, public sector organisations, and international NGOs.

Before joining the firm, he spent over six years at another private practice firm advising on data and privacy. He is listed as an 'Associate to Watch' in the Chambers Legal Guide and a 'Key Lawyer' in Legal 500.
