Michael Wright

Michael Wright is a Senior Associate in the Projects Practice at Dentons in London, specialising in dispute resolution, construction and engineering disputes, and international arbitration. He advises clients on formal litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, high‑value international arbitrations (including in the Middle East), multi‑party mediations, and complex adjudications involving delay, variations, and contractual issues.

Michael has advised on a number of high‑profile matters, including a joint venture main contractor in a US$142 million ICC arbitration relating to variations, delay, and breach of contract in respect of the construction of a major new transport link in Doha; a main contractor in a US$63 million ICC arbitration relating to design and construction defects, delay, and termination of EPC contracts for a bespoke marine vessel for an energy project in Africa; and a joint venture main contractor in a £300 million DIAC arbitration regarding the design and construction of a major airport in the Middle East. He also advises clients on the management and resolution of issues before they evolve into formal disputes.

Michael holds an LL.B (Hons) in Law and Professional Practice from Nottingham Trent University (2014). He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2016 and holds Higher Rights of Audience (Civil).
