Laura St-Gallay

Laura St-Gallay is the Head of Dispute Resolution at RIAA Barker Gillette (UK) LLP, specialising in Dispute Resolution. She focuses on providing commercially driven solutions through advice, negotiation and various forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Laura specialises in property litigation, construction litigation, commercial litigation and insolvency. She has concluded a confidential settlement with the Secretary of State for Transport in the Upper Tribunal regarding compulsory purchase proceedings for buildings acquired for the HS2 high-speed railway at Euston Station. Her experience ranges from advice on recovery of rent, break options, business tenant default, lease renewals and dilapidations to shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, debt recovery and professional negligence claims. She also handles all corporate and personal insolvency processes, including directors' misfeasance claims, wrongful trading claims and applications under the Insolvency Act.

Laura holds a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Liverpool, completed the GDL with Commendation and the LPC with Distinction at the College of Law, Guildford, and was admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2006. She is a member of the Property Litigation Association (PLA) and the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP).
