Jessica Sutherland

Jessica Sutherland is a Practice Development Lawyer in the Projects Practice Group at Dentons in Edinburgh, specialising in infrastructure law, energy projects, and regulatory and commercial advisory. She works across energy, transport, and infrastructure, advising on a range of regulatory and commercial matters applicable to projects over the course of their lifecycle.

Jessica has acted for a wide variety of clients in the energy and utilities sectors, with experience across the full project lifecycle from development to operation. She rejoined Dentons in 2025 after practising at Shepherd and Wedderburn and EY Law.

Jessica holds a BA in French and Russian from Oxford University (2016), a Graduate Diploma in Law and an LL.M from BPP University (2017–2018), and an LL.M in Global Environment and Climate Change Law from Edinburgh University (2025).
