Gareth Tenner

Gareth Tenner is a Partner in the Projects Practice at Dentons, advising on complex energy and infrastructure projects, project finance, and commercial contracts. He advises public and private sector clients including Her Majesty's Government, investors, project companies, developers, funders, and services providers across the accommodation, health, education, defence, transport, waste, and housing sectors.

Gareth has advised on a number of procurement and finance models including PFI/PPP, NPD, Hub, BSF, and LIFT, and has significant experience in the secondary market, delivering project variations, refinancings, and buying and selling project interests. In the energy sector, he focuses primarily on renewables, advising on onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy from waste, battery storage, and hydro projects, and is the retained advisor to a portfolio of OFTO projects in offshore wind. He also has experience in the conventional energy sector, having spent two years on secondment at a Big 6 utility provider as legal counsel to the generation and energy trading businesses.

Gareth holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh (2003) and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Edinburgh (2004). He was admitted as a Solicitor in Scotland in 2006.
