Ian Chan

Ian Chan is an Associate in the firm's Banking and Finance Law practice within the Asset, Trade and Export Finance department, based in the London office. He has a particular focus on aviation finance and advises airlines, lessors, and financiers on complex cross-border leasing and financing transactions, including sales and purchases, novations, refinancings, prepayments, and lease terminations. He also advises lenders on export credit agency-backed financings.

Mr. Chan has completed a secondment at TUI, where he worked closely with the in-house team on fleet financing transactions. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from BPP University (2024), an LPC MSc in Law and Business Management from the University of Law (2021), an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London (2018), and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Southampton (2016).
