Ailish Kelly

Ailish Kelly is a Senior Associate in the Projects practice, based in the London office, practicing in Construction Law. She specializes in engineering and construction disputes, including defective works, delay, final account, professional negligence, and contractual issues, with experience in formal litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, high-value international arbitrations, complex adjudications, and multi-party mediations.

Ms. Kelly has advised on significant matters including a developer on a c.£50 million dispute in respect of delay, final account, and defective works on a c.£300 million redevelopment of a commercial square in London, a well-known national housebuilder on a multi-million-pound claim in respect of defective cladding on a high-rise residential building, a contractor on a billion-dollar joint-venture state-funded project to develop a 1,000MW combined cycle power plant in Kazakhstan, and a Japanese manufacturer on a US$80 million dispute over defective works on a gas-to-liquid plant in Uzbekistan. She also advises on building safety remediation orders and recovery options.

Ailish holds a BA (Hons) in German from Durham University (2015), a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University Law School (2016), and completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University Law School (2017). She trained at Dentons, qualifying into the Engineering and Disputes team in 2020, and is a solicitor apprentice supervisor.
